Vintage Barbie 1963 was an interesting time for Barbie. As with the sixties, Barbie was open to change and embracing new styles. As with all Barbie dolls, hair played a major role and this moment in time was no exception. Even though new hairstyles had become expected changes each year, the idea of wigs was a new concept. Along with the ponytail and bubblecut hairstyles, little girls could now play a role in Barbie's look limited only by their imagination.
