The 1982 Barbie dolls collection truly celebrated individuality, fashion, and imaginative play. It was a year of diversity for Barbie, with different themes and styles represented in the lineup. From glamourous to athletic, Barbie was dressed and ready for anything that you could imagine.
1982 was a significant year for the Barbie doll line, as it marked the 23rd anniversary of Barbie's introduction to the market. Here are some notable Barbie dolls that were copyrighted in 1982:
Dream Date Barbie
According to Mattel...She's everybody's Dream Date! Barbie is ready for a night on the town wearing a long fuchsia satin gown trimmed in purple. The sparkly sequin covered bodice ties at the neck, while a rose embellished cummerbund sits at the waist. Her detachable ruffled flounce could be worn as a wrap, around the waist, over her head, or style your own. She danced the night away in matching open toe high heels.
